Here's a story of a girl,
Living in the lonely world,
A hidden note, Desires unknown,
A little girl hidden in the dark.

Well, I'm standing in the crowd,
And when you smile I check you out,
But you don't even know my name,
You're too busy playing games,

And I want you too know,
If you lose your way,
I won't let you go.

If I cut my hair,
If I change my clothes,
Will you notice me?

If I bite my lip,
If I say hello,
Will you notice me?

Lyrics of the song "Notice Me" by Zetta Bytes

people who are able to speak many languages always amaze me. you can say, i respect them. language is an art. it is difficult to master. unfortunately for me, i am slow in grasping art related subjects. for example: drawing, literature, dance and etc. give me a piece or let me see one is equivalent to play a piano piece to a cow. well, that was a literate meaning to a chinese idiom.

so far, i met my aunt who is able to use, speak and write in 5 different languages. well, that is not inclusive of dialects. my grandfather is one of the best language users i ever known. he can speak and listen all the languages in the world with the exception of tamil. next person was my mom's uncle. he is able to speak, write and use all languages except tamil. with such talent in my family, one would obviously expect us, the later generation to do as well, or even better. ironically, me and my sisters are terrible in languages. my cousins are no better. the only difference is which language are we better in - chinese related and chinese versus english.

of course, me and samantha were better in english. eunice scores in japanese - she failed chinese and english is an embarrassment. my cousin, audrey, is good in chinese and she is way better than us in cantonese. in fact, i think among all cousins, she beat us in chinese, cantonese and hokkien. as for the younger cousins, they are in need of brushing. my older twin cousins are bad in languages. they cannot even make it for english, chinese or cantonese. i don't know what can they make out. =_=|| oh wells... i guess my deduction of later generations are worse than the previous generations proved to be true. i wonder why... =.=

i am currently learning japanese and french.. and guess what? i am STRUGGLING. it's bad trying to improve my english and chinese. my cousin together with my mom are trying to improve my chinese... with much disappoinment. hey~ at least i am trying. ^_^ i can find places to improve my english, chinese and japanese but not my french. books are too difficult. i need to improve slowly. i rather not demoralize myself with difficult words and form sentences with doubt. i just love my obsession now. manga and anime is a good source for improvement. well, not proper sentences but, hey... conversational usage is there. i will get books later... including chinese ones to improve myself. i am thankful that my parents and relatives converse in cantonese. otherwise, i am unable to pick it up. i have to brush that up too. i think, i will improve my chinese and cantonese with japanese next, followed by french. i shall leave english as a minor since, i am using it most of the time and it's the language that i am most comfortable with.

well, leaving languages aside... life is moving rather slowly now that i am having my holidays. i understand that once school starts, life would be very busy and difficult so i won't complain or whine. just enjoy my life as it is. subjects in the following semester is going to be a challenge. it's a whole new thing. oh boy... i think that is price that i have to pay once i levelled up.

Will you ever notice me...
